Despite being notoriously difficult to manufacture, we knew amorphous Zirconium was the only material of choice for the housings on the anniversary model. Three times stronger than stainless steel, the ultra strong, lightweight liquid alloy allows us to achieve truly remarkable acoustic performance by minimizing unwanted chamber resonances. Finished in a stately, sandblasted titan grey finish, it is also highly resistant to wear and corrosion.

DUNU's engineers have been developing audio transducers for over 17 years. We pooled our veteran experience into developing an ultra-precise physical vapor
deposition process, allowing us exclusively to create a dual-sided Beryllium diaphragm coating that behaves essentially like one made out of pure Beryllium. This 13.5 mm speaker retains the speed and rigidity of a pure Beryllium cone, reproducing the kind of realistic timbre and wide staging that audio lovers crave. This limited edition model possesses not only speed and resolution, but also smoothness and depth ---- a purist expression of the DUNU sound.

Despite having earphone shells as compact and tightly-packed as ours, in order to take full advantage of the speed and dynamics of the Beryllium driver, we integrated a bass reflex system normally found only in home speakers. After long hours and endless trials of tweaking its length and size, the labyrinthine Air Control Impedance System (ACIS), was born from an obsession to control bass extension, bolstering frequencies under 80 Hz, while still retaining depth and agility.

A special earphone needs to be paired with a special cable. CHORD utilizes a complex multi-stranded core design, with high purity Furukawa Electric OCC copper and DHC pure silver wires interwoven between one another.
To minimize interference, it is painstakingly hand-braided
with a round Litz configuration.
Exclusive to DUNU products are our patented quick-switch connectors, which allow a user to connect to all manner of portable audio interfaces, including 3.5 mm TRS unbalanced, 2.5 mm TRRS balanced, 4.4 mm TRRRS balanced/unbalanced, and 3.5 mm PRO TRRS balanced connections, with just the mere snap of a latch.
